The main purpose of the Final evaluation of the regional programme "Strengthening democratic reform in the Southern Neighbourhood – South Programme II" (funded by the ENPI South) was twofold:

·        To assess the efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability and anticipated impact of the programme "Strengthening democratic reform in the Southern Neighbourhood – South Programme II” and the prospects for its sustainability, as well as its relevance.

·        To provide practical recommendations for the follow up actions and lessons learned.

The overall objective of the programme "Strengthening democratic reform in the Southern Neighbourhood – South Programme II” was to contribute to reinforcing human rights, Rule of law and democracy in Southern Mediterranean partner countries in accordance with European and other international standards, based on a demand-driven approach.
