PSF- Support to the EU-Mongolia Human Rights Dialogue

The Global Objective of the contract was to contribute to the improvement of EU-Mongolia cooperation on human rights, as well as rule of law in the country, as well as to enhance EU bilateral, regional, interregional and multilateral cooperation and partnership strategies through the reinforcement of policy dialogues. The action addressed this objective in particular through reinforcement of policy dialogue on human rights.

The action contributed specifically to:

·       Strengthening the EU-Mongolia human rights dialogue;

·       Implementing the EU-Mongolia Partnership and Cooperation Agreement in the areas of rule of law and human rights.

According to the terms of reference the following activities were implemented:

·       Develop review and analysis of documentation available;

·       Conduct consultations and strategic planning;

·       Prepare the Inception report;

·       Conduct consultation with EU and Mongolian authorities;

·       Plan and implement 3 one-day Human Rights seminars;

·       Identify of the ratify international human rights treaties and ILO conventions to be fully translated into Mongolian or already translated to be revised;

·       Plan and implement of 2 four-days Expert-level regulatory dialogue visits to EU member States, with the participation of 8 Mongolian participants;

·       Provide European expertise to the Training and Research Centre (TRC) of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Mongolia.
