Projects

The main purpose of the of the Ex-Post (final) External Evaluation  was twofold:

•        To assess the efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability and anticipated impact of the of the EU funded project "Promotion of Rule of Law in the Kyrgyz Republic (ROLPRO)" programme and the prospects for its sustainability, as well as its relevance, 
•        To provide practical recommendations for the follow up actions and lessons learned.

The main objective of the ROLPRO programme was to to assist in strengthening the respect of the Rule of Law in the Kyrgyz Republic by promoting transparency, accountability and anti-corruption measures.

Specific objectives were: to strengthen public oversight functions; to increase the efficiency, independence, professionalism and capacities of the judiciary; to strengthen the Civil Society and Media to keep institutions and power holders accountable for reform and respect of the Rule of Law and to empower people to have unimpeded access to justice.
